Interior design
Taking inspiration from the rich culture of the region, the interior design of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa features silver travertine flooring, hand-woven tapestries, polished dark stone, and stainless steel. The design combines contemporary and traditional elements and is infused with a sense of global harmony.
The building uses cutting-edge structural and construction strategies to minimize the impact of the building on the environment. Its double-paned glass walls combine reflective and low-E glass to maintain cool temperatures. The skyscraper also uses a condensation-recovery system to minimize energy costs.
The Burj Khalifa is a multipurpose structure that houses offices, shops, and hotels. It also features observation decks and swimming pools. It was built to attract international attention to the city. The company behind the project has pledged to help the city get its feet on the global stage.
Virtual-reality experience
Mission 828 is a virtual reality experience that takes players inside Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. The immersive experience, which uses multi-sensory technology, challenges players to overcome puzzles and solve problems as they explore the virtual environment. The VR experience was developed using the Unity game engine and HTC Vive headsets. It combines real-world footage with high-end CG elements to create an immersive virtual reality experience. Drones were used to capture 360-degree scenes.
In a partnership with HTC VIVE and the Dubai Future Accelerators, Burj Khalifa invited developers to create VR content based on the tower. In exchange, the winning developers would be awarded a $136,000 cash prize and the opportunity to display their work for a year and a half. During this competition, Game Cooks was selected among 120 international developers.
Height
The Burj Khalifa is one of the world’s tallest buildings, towering eight hundred and twenty-one stories above Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It holds six world records, including the highest freestanding structure, highest occupied floor, and highest service elevator. In addition to its height, it has the most miles of travel by elevator in the world.
The Burj Khalifa has a walk-through interior that is both entertaining and educational. It starts with a model of the building, and it continues to a touchscreen base that contains moving images of Dubai over the years. A sign inside the Burj Khalifa states that it “testifies to what the Emiratis can achieve.” The tour ends at the Bar Lounge Bar, which is five hundred and twenty-four meters high.
